3rd place and 2:10:03 official time. 10:08avg pace. I was leading the race by several minutes at the top of the last big climb and after this one switchback I missed a poorly marked turn up this scrambly rock. I took what looked to be a very well worn singletrack. Got lost for 1.2 miles and added 10-15 minutes onto my time. Frustrated because I was in a solid rhythm and I was feeling more than good enough to hold my lead. I also wasn't the only one who missed the turn, Ethan Christian and this other guy who were in fourth and fifth missed it and we ran into each other as we were trying to find the flags. Frustrated. Haven't had a great race for some time and it's getting to me.
