haha. first time running cat’s tail since 2019! it kind of kicked my ass and i felt like my hips were going to tear off of my pelvis for a while, but i got a second wind after one too many passings and held on for third, about 25 minutes slower than my previous attempt. it turns out one may need to run more than i have this year, 861 miles including today, to be competitive at this race. do i want that? idk…tbd…lmfao.

anyway, i had some great times with great people talking about getting older and running, jokin’ around, the whole 26.5 miles, including Bonnie Lathrop who also is returning after a 6 year hiatus and many ups and downs, Ian Shultis, Jay Lemos, Amyjenni Hanlon, and a bunch more sweet people i don’t have internet connections with. racing is kinda silly and odd and i don’t know if i have the same drive to compete as i used to but i really enjoy connecting with the other sickos of the world.
