Afternoon Trail Run

Went out to do reconnaissance on this FKT route and set a new baseline. It's an easy beginner-friendly FKT route, with no elevation and not much traffic even on this Saturday evening. I went out alone, with no water or gel. And I didn't feel exhausted after the run because it's a "light" course with some ocean breeze on the way back.

Big thanks to Keilynn Alicea for setting the original route. I look forward to more runners (in NJ and beyond) hunting down & lowering this FKT!

I set my watch to run between 7:00 and 8:00. And it kept complaining every time I forgot and dropped a 6:20 mile. I could have gone faster, but there are speed limit signs everywhere 😉. (I took a pic of one of them)

Officially, this will be my first FKT. Onto the next one!
