Lunchies and errands and bonus miles

Another long day - I'm physically capable of the longer days - but, my spirit sure prefers about 60 miles as an ideal day if I'm carrying full touring baggage.

East outta Fresno for a long ways on Belmont street (which had a signed and painted bike lane the whole way).  Then wiggled south through the town of Reedley for a quick lunch.  Missed a turn in town and stopped to check the map and fell right over since I couldn't unclip my right foot.  Took some doing to extract myself from the shoe while clipped in and pinned to the sidewalk with the fully loaded bike but I got it all sorted and rode the remaining 50 miles without incident. Only wound from the incident (besides my pride) is a tiny scrape on my thumb.

Today featured no actual road closures!  But instead dozens of "flooded" signs which turned out to all be lies (today, at least).
