Morning Hike

Bit off more than I could chew! Plan was to do the Kidman trail in a day, got ambitious and thought it would be cool to join up the northern most train station (Gawler central) and the southern most (Seaford station) as a commute. Challenge; start in Gawler at 7am, earliest arriving train, and pedal the route then catch the last train from Seaford to Brighton. Didn't factor in the difficulty of the trail, lots of paddock bashing that's very difficult to navigate at night, especially with no gps to navigate by. Didn't plan for a bailout option either and went real light, didn't carry any emergency bivvy gear, spare clothes or enough food. Got to Macclesfield at 11 knowing I had 50ish ks left of the Kidman and then a further 46 to home. Feet were wet and morale was low. Ma called saying she could pick me up in 30. Caved and took the lift. Planning on riding this route again soon and finishing it.
