Never say never I guess? I got permission from the NPS to cache water in the Murphy area which I hiked in the night before. I had a 54 mile section with 6.5 liters which turned out to not be enough. I ran out about 8 miles before I got there, and I did suffer the consequences for several hours afterward with some nausea caused by electrolyte imbalances. Even so I improved my time by a lot and I’m sure I could do it even faster if I hadn’t screwed up on the water. 
I brought about half a pound of pumpkin pie, two egg McMuffins along with the usual ultra fare. It was nice to eat more “real” food this time, and I got close to finishing everything with maybe 500 calories remaining in my pack.
