Quite enjoyed it I must say, and maybe that’s my problem. I think these sort of rides should be suffered not enjoyed. Or at least be full of concentration on the effort instead of chats 😅. 
Anyways, when I stopped enjoying it in Cruz de Tejeda standing in a super cold and thick cloud while not seeing the end of it, I decided to take my toys and leave the playground. Full of hopes that I won’t cause too much havoc and be let to rejoin the course at 3.5km from to top I continued the shortest way towards pico where a backpack full of warm layers and a husband full of warm hugs were waiting for me 💜

On husband note, 3rd in the category and 6th overall. Not too bad for someone who didn’t even bother to stop his evening chocolate meal ritual in the preparation for the race, cause he’s not in form anyways 🤪

I’m still waiting for the day when his excellent ability of turn himself inside out or simply ride fast rubs off. 
5 years married, and I’m still waiting! 😄
