Exceeding expectations - 2/3 of White Mountain West ridge

Lots and lots of reasons not to take it to the top today, but this was far from the boring outing I thought it would be. Extremely challenging terrain with not a lot of trail, a lot of jagged boulder fields with lots of loose rock, and an on and off blanket of a few inches of snow. There was a crazy weather gradient with the elevation, and also a crazy wind gradient. Both were to be expected, but still were more impactful than I expected. Another day, another time. I'm surprised to say that I think it's well worth coming back to this though. I would be psyched on the idea of going up this ridge, and then back down and taking the other west ridge down starting more or less where I turned around. Lots of ideas
