Literally takes less total time to do 22k vert on the training hill than less than 10k vert in this terrain - LOL! 

I felt zero fatigue physically from 17 consecutive days averaging just shy of 20k vert days on a smooth steep trail. I have been doing what I've been doing for years, consistently, so I knew averaging 10'ish hrs per day of movement on a smooth trail without weight on my back would not be an issue because most my mountain playdays are longer duration and more arduous. 

Mentally I was cracking because I needed to play, get thrashed by rough terrain and experience adventure. Nothing like a healthy dose of talus, rough terrain and cactus puncture wounds to make a girl happy. 

If you're not intrinsically motivated by something it's super hard to stay engaged once the goal is achieved. Super happy I opted to 'vacation' and get spanked by the desert. 

Poor Marc 'has to' endure these wonderful 'vacation ideas', at least this time I allowed us to stay at the hot springs for longer than 5minutes to 'enjoy' vacation a bit - otherwise I ALWAYS prioritize playtime in the mountains over 'chilling' 🤣🏜️
