Headlight talk: I picked up this Fenix headlight when it first came out because it seemed to have a compact trail running first design. I later noticed that it had a warm/cold LED setup rather than the overcomplicated floodlight/spotlight. Eventually I realized that I somehow feel more relaxed and adjusted to being outside at night when using warm lighting. I almost always use the warm lighting mode now even if it technically offers fewer lumens at similar power consumption. For me, it’s a good reminder that the stress from being outside in the dark is usually a bigger issue than the true safety concerns
