Ciovita has this amazing lightweight gillet with a perfectly placed patch of Polartec wool on a part of your chest. For dry or moist but cold conditions it’s just such a great piece of kit. They also have a jacket version of it but this one is better if you also want to push here and there and stay more aero and extra breathable. Let me know if you want to try it!
