Lunch Ride

One of the most beautiful rides I’ve ever done. Period. We started near Gytheio, parked next to a trash can.😀 After that, it was full on climbing and just enjoying the views. Once we got to the monastery, the temps dropped into the low 40’s…making for a chilly descent. Ran into a few  nice folks at the top who’d driven up and happened to be dual (Greek/UK) citizens on holiday.  Didn’t linger as we’d given ourselves just enough time to make it back to the car by dark. The descent was colder than expected, with frozen fingers and toes for the first third. Once we descended a third down, temps were fine again. Amazing afternoon on the bike.‍ And not too shabby having had a norovirus for three days this week. 🤮
