Hawaii Day 5: Crater backpacking trip Day 3 in Haleakalā National Park. Woke up at 5:00 am in the Palikū Cabin. We started our big climb out in the pouring rain and thrashing wind. After making it above the cloud line, the rain stopped and we made it out of the crater. We finally reached the summit and we were exhausted. What a unique and amazing way to explore this park.
