Back to speedwork - 8 x 800m efforts

My first run that is less than 12km long in many weeks (apart from Wormstones), basically going as far back as something like 16th December! As a result, it was good to do a shorter run on a favourite local loop. Ground conditions dicey in places, with a thin layer of snow and patchy ice, sometimes sheet ice, underneath mostly on the bridleways, although microspikes would've been overkill. Thankfully the irocks held up nicely, and I got round staying upright. Soon got toasty warm in my hat, gloves and buff. A great way to round off a fantastic Christmas / New Year break with lots of grand running adventures in really good weather.
