My hens are starting to lay again after the fall molting, extended heat wave, and winter darkness slump, and Scarlett, one of my Bourbon red turkey hens, started laying. Sadly, having lost both toms to coyotes, these eggs are unfertilized, so cannot be hatched out. But I ordered more Bourbon red turkey poults for this spring, and with our reinforced coyote prevention we should be hatching out turkey babies next spring 😊
