First lap the race stayed pretty much together. Kevin took the first KOM time bonus. On the second lap I got in a break with a Novo Nordisk rider who was also way back on GC. We worked well and got up to a 2:30 gap. With 10 miles to go I got dropped on a climb so I sat up to try to help Kevin, who caught us with a Novo rider who was sitting 3rd. Unfortunately I barely had anything to give him. I was able to hang on for 4th in the road race, and Kevin 3rd but fell to 2nd on GC at 10 seconds.
