Birthday treat 🎈

Not sure what went wrong tonight. Went into it feeling quietly confident that I'm in fairy good nick (and the lightest I've ever been cycling- with the bike the lightest its been).

Felt a bit heady all day, but felt great warming up. 

Went hard but by 3/4 of the way up I was really struggling  and it started to feel slow. Not really my kind of hill as it was. very gentle gradient. At times I was poss in too big a gear.

Legs were absolutely swimming in lactic which is great from the point of view of I hate coming out of these events feeling like I didn't go all in, but disappointed in how slow I felt towards the end and where I appear on the strata segments. 

Not sure where I finished as it was a 70 mins drive and I was starving. 

Great to get the season up and running. New wheels were class
