Morning 🏃🏽 to the top of curaçao 🇨🇼 

Have looked forward for this race - though was a little unsure if I should race - as after the long (30k) training on Tuesday my left Achilles have been a little soar when cruising - ran an hour yesterday in the flashy Nike Pegasus 35 turbo and felt okay. So => entered the 30 k home run through the forest... which turned out to be a bad idea 🙈

Could feel the Achilles after 2 k and that meant that I ran a little of balance and my right thigh got lactic and tired on the monotone gravel running, felt better when hit the small path and had the same split as last year after 10 k and on target 🎯for a sub 2 hour time... but then the shit 💩 hit the fan when we got back on the gravel! My right leg just didn’t want to cooperate and I had to chicken out 🐥 and start jogging.... gave it another go when we hit the path again and it didn’t feel to bad. But the struggle was real when we hit the gravel again. The last 12 k or so home was just not fun at all... though hopefully I can take it as a good long training 😃
