Pre-ride: I’m going to scout the October Mixie on Saturday.
Includes driving 2 hours, bushwhacking through woods on trails that will be dropped from the final route, waking up after sunrise, parking at Treehouse Brewery.

Post ride:
My mixie scouting was as brutal as I feared. 2 hours to go the first 12 miles. Over 6 hours total of biking, bushwhacking, wading through puddles, hiking up steep rock-covered trails, bouncing down steep rock-covered trails...
But the October Mixie is going to be great. I found fun trails, pretty trails, some easy trails. 
Plus Rapscallion, Homefield, and Treehouse provide refreshing breaks from the thrills of Wells State Park and Brimfield State Park.
