Morning Ride

Bad mistake today, led up all the climbs but missed the jump on Lofer, unfortunately as i rolled off the front the attacks came and I was not in a position to jump across.  No one wanted to work except Freddie Landon and another couple of guys.  I did a big turn and got the bunch to almost 30m from the break after a 500m gap only for no-one to finish it off.  Tried again along the flat just before the Huber, almost made it on my own when one rider came across but jumped me and I had to put a big effort in and just could not make it!  He did but then got dropped on the climb.  It was all cat & mouse stuff from then on, the leading bunch went from 7 to 5 but out of sight.  The bunch was only interested in the sprint finish and what a farce!!  Two riders at the front went from right to left, one rider hit the gutter and then careered into the bunch,  I locked up and then had to go from a standing start, and as everyone knows I am no sprinter so race over!!!  I think I came in 22nd place.
