You can see The Carmel from every spot in my hometown. It defines the view. Tall, mighty, an evergreen fortress. I hiked on it, to it, through it, I lived on its top, bathed in the Mediterranean shores of its bottom. Today I climbed it with my bike for the first time, twice actually - once from its western slope, and then from its northern slope. We passed through the Druze villages of Isfiya (عسفيا‎) and Daliat el Carmel (دَالِيَةِ ٱلْكَرْمِل‎) and descended it eastward. The Honeybees conquered the Carmel today. Because it's there.
