Winter Solstice (read on for an epic tale)

One ferret was black with a white mark on it's left eye and the other was tawny and seemed to not be enjoying the scenery that the Malin Bridge tram stop had to offer.
 
The woman looked at first glance to be in her late forties but the cigarette which she was chewing down on indicated that she may be a few years younger and had simply aged badly. She was portly but not fat and sported an ill fitting jacket and tracksuit bottoms which were from Reebok (or atleast had the reebok logo upon them). Her hair was tied back in a bun - not quite 'The Trunchbull' from, Matilda level, but getting towards that. 

The woman was talking to a slim man of about 30 who was completely bald. The man had heavy eyebrows and was dressed very upmarket for someone venturing so close to Hillsborough Exchange. The man had a nervous disposition, whether this was caused by an impending fear of ferrets or not it was difficult to tell, but he seemed ill at ease. On his feet were Red trainers with one of those weird lace patterns that don't have any bows. 

One of the ferrets (the one which was black with the white eye mark) appeared fascinated by these shoes and strained at its lead, to which the woman growled with displeasure. The ferret responded to this remarkably rapidly, recoiling as if recalling some previous unpleasant encounter. The tawny ferret appeared to roll it's eyes, although it was impossible to tell. 

Anyway, it was at this point that I looked back at the road just in time to collide with the back of a bus.
