A little opportune today, but ended in the sun and a bunch of enjoyable miles. Out with Mr R for an East Neuk loop first, saw the rain coming as we turned west. It had been forecast but I thought it might not come to much, alas it was a bit grim.

Light enough at first got to Largoward and took 5 mins in the audax hotel (bus shelter). Emerged and it was much heavier, sodden gloves and feet barely a mile or so later.

Nearly curtailed the ride there with Mr R time to head homeward. It did look a little brighter though, so I dived for the Villager and grabbed a coffee. Oops I’d forgotten my wallet, they were super kind and let me have the coffee and scone on an iou.

It was much nicer heading onwards although feet still sodden - had fresh gloves in the bag which I’d changed into, but the sock cache was empty after last week’s wet one.

Nice effort from here to Pillars where I was meeting Gemma for a bite of lunch. Little drama with the electric car charge point not working but a nice french guy helped us out so Gemma had enough to get home. Enjoyed a coffee and curry in the sun here.

Suitably reunited with my wallet it was a ride home via the Villager again to pay my debt. Beautiful in the now blue sky and sunshine - a really nice couple of hours on the bike.

I’d spotted a cake at the Villager earlier and hoped they’d sell out, nope, so I had a little (huge) slice while settling my dues. The I felt obliged to do Nydie on the way back in. Rounding the ride up enough to hit my 180 weekly target was a nice touch, wonder how many more weeks that’ll last.
