Ran a very smart race. Sat back in 10th through the first 3 miles. Worked my way up to top 2 guys by mile 4. I pushed the effort to keep us consistent. Mile 8 was challenging and ultimately where I lost position. Towards the end of the race we started to converge on everyone else that was still running and things got a bit congested which actually slowed up the pace. My watch split off the mile markers towards the end a bit early so I knew I was running a little bit extra each mile after 6. I know this was a race I could win if I had more mileage under my belt. Great race! Ready to PR in the new year.
