Not as frosty as I expected after riding last night. Mind there are a few icy lumps about, one on the inside when descending Nydie.

Nice run round and up Garlie Bank, faced the ever increasing wind from there. Down to Lundin Links and back up again. I never know the right way at the little junction along there, stopped and checked my phone - aiming for Balhousie.

Faced the still increasing wind down from Largoward, chuckled to myself, must be the slowest I’ve done that descent. Arncroach and a wiggle to Abercrombie - don’t think I’ve done this road in that direction before ✅

Crosswinds to Pittenweem where I fancied a coffee stop and to collect a couple of Christmas goodies at the Cocoa Tree. A slice of chocolate dipped ginger cake was polished off, just the pick me up I needed.

Crosswinds again to Crail. A van - with an unusual horn - gave me a toot, literally no idea why but it made me jump somewhat.

The wind that’s been a menace was now going to give me a good run home. It’d be wasteful not to use the opportunity so despite the big bag on, and laden with chocolate, I put in a bit of a dig from Crail to St Andrews. Actually spun out coming past the distillery at Kingsbarns! But felt reasonably laboured around Boarhills, blusteriness and a bit of a cross again for a short while.

Down the hill and in to town. Just in time for it to start sleeting - perfect timing.

Wind 18-26mph SE.
