Easy Run

New world M70-74 age group record by 25 seconds - 2:54:23. 

I kept the fact that I was attempting the record sort of under wraps because I couldn’t be completely confident that I would be recovered in time. I ran both a 50K and a marathon just two weeks ago.  But, the race was going very well until, with two miles to go I started getting minor cramps in my calves. I kept fighting them off, but with just 400 yards to go a full scale cramp hit my left calf. I had to stop for 20 seconds until it subsided, and then I was able to finish.
