-4.5C leaving Eastleigh. -2C and sunny at Southsea. Easy and fast registration. Started near the front. Passed more people in the second half than passed me - maybe 8 vs 1.
Beach was a little squelchy in places but no big deal.
Took a 1/2 cup of water at the half way point to help wash down the coffee/caffeine gel.
A good event, entered a full year ago because it was 1/2 price, then I totally forgot about it until I checked the start list in the emails they were sending me :-)

Happy with the overall pace. 4:40/km would have been OK, 4:30/km good, 4:20/km for early season is pleasing
