Tough day. 5 flats between us and my camera mount self destructed. The head winds were pretty mentally punishing at times. 

I am trying to qualify to be able to be on the start line for an event called Paris-Brest-Paris. It is the 'big show' of Randoneurring and occurs every 4 years. There are currently >7000 cyclists registered. In order to stand on the start line, you must complete a 200, 300, 400, and 600 km Brevet before June 20th so it is validated by the Aug 19th start date.  With this 400, I only have the 600 to go!  Whew, this has been a process. I am doing this to be with my good friend Stephen Kenny who will have ridden in 5 PBP events in a row and believes this to be his last. So I would like to be there for this.
