Sixth day of a 10+ mile run, this time on wholly familiar roads in the Fort Valley, starting & finishing at the Fort Valley Country Store. Gorgeous weather, almost perfect for running except for the breeze. Sunny, 48°-52°, dew 13°, NW breeze at 5-15 gusting to 20. Traffic fairly light in the valley despite the weather. Decided to put out another moderately fast effort and things went fine. Big electronic sign on Woodstock Tower Road at the Dry Run/Boliver intersection reading "ROAD CLOSED @ TOP" (due to the road collapse a few weeks ago over on the west side). ORV/ATV trails just opened for spring & there were a number of vehicles going up to or coming down from Peters Mill Run Road. Noted as I passed by that the FR 66 gate is open. Some signs of flood damage from a couple days ago on a couple little spots on Boyer Road. Started having some weird heat/pain around the base of my right foot middle toe on Seven Fountains Road, maybe because of the rocky gravel surface? Maybe more weirdness from these newish shoes? Dunno.
