Morning Run

Not the race I was hoping for or had trained for, but not much you can do when it’s nearly 70 and >90% humidity. I went out conservative (or what I thought was based on goal pace) and felt decent through the turn around. Passed a couple people in the first half. Couldn’t bring the pace faster after the turnaround and started to fall off the pace. Things started to get really tough in the last 3 and bu that point I was just fighting to hold on and not lose the guy in front of me. I think I did decent relative to the field, but I don’t think this reflects where my fitness is and my training during this cycle. Can’t control the weather so will keep on putting the work in for the next race (Ragnar Wasatch Back in June and The Bear in July)

Despite the weather, as an event this was another top-notch race by Sir Walter running!
