First time trying this long way home from the station (getting off at Haymarket to join the cycle path). I had no idea where I was going but there was a handily-placed gent on a Brompton to follow.

Google Maps clearly doesn't want to use this route at all, even when you're on it, and Cyclestreets app has a rubbish real-time map and a weird voice. I made it though, without any switchbacks!
