made it up the mountain, but had to wait ~30 minutes halfway up because there'd been a serious accident and they'd closed the road.

all in all not exactly a poster day for safety, one fatal motorcycle accident, nearly crashed into someone cycling like 70 km/hr through the border when i swerved to avoid a hole, and then another motorcycle clipped a barrier and went all swervy across the road - luckily there was no oncoming traffic.

but more successful than last week, since we did actually make it up the climb! felt remarkably easy, probably going to pay for that tomorrow.
