So this went pretty well. Most people say to start slow and pace yourself but that's stupid. If you're not going suffer a bit then what's the point? So out I went with the fast group. I stayed with them for maybe 50 km, (lap 2 in my "analysis" section) but I knew it was too fast, and more importantly I couldn't really eat in that fast moving pack.

Lap 3 is after I got dropped. I met up with two great guys Luke and Jon (just needed a Matthew) at the rest stop and we rode most of the rest of the way together. 

After lunch we had to take a detour due to an accident an this shortened our route by roughly 5km... so no century for me. :(

Shortly after, the lead group who didn't have to take the detour, caught us again. We all rode to get back on. This was a mistake oh, as I cracked shortly after. This was around kilometer 120 and the next 15 kilometers to the final rest stop for absolute hell. I was going about 23 km an hour and struggling to do 150 watts.

But then, to my amazement oh, Luke and Jon were waiting at the next rest stop! This was the greatest thing I've ever seen I think. Luke paced us both back and we did the final 17 km fairly briskly. Thanks again guys!
