What an unusual day...
Today started as another beautiful Saturday morning in June.  But I was still sleeping, deciding not to set any alarms and catch up on ZZZs
MEANWHILE...
The early morning crew were out getting in great rides 👍 
MEANWHILE...
I wake up around 9am feeling refreshed.  My wife on the other hand, tells me she's sick.  Fever, chills, aches everywhere.  Not good.  Seems like flu.  By 10:00am we decide to go to the urgent care because if it's we need Tamiflu ASAP.  We get there, it's packed 😒.  Full of strange characters too.  Place looked like a cross between an ER and a mental hospital.  We waited almost 3 hours before getting seen.  Turns out it's not flu at all, it's strep throat.  We get a prescription for antibiotics.  Glad it's not flu.  
MEANWHILE...
While waiting all those hours I'm checking out everyone's awesome rides 😂.  We get the medicine, I get her back home and since the doctor gave her ibuprofen, she's starting to settle down, and she falls to sleep.  She told me to go and ride.  At first I refused, but when she was sound asleep I figured she'd be okay and finally set out at 4pm.  
MEANWHILE...
Holy crosswinds Batman!
MEANWHILE...
My HR is again stuck in Zone 1 for 30 minutes, but I finally coax it into zone 2
MEANWHILE...
On the service road a small bird poked at my helmet several times...I watched this play out in the shadows in front of me.  I shouted "hey" and he flew off.  Maybe I was near its nest? 🤷‍♂️ 
MEANWHILE...
I had no planned route or distance for the ride, at first I thought a service road out and back, but changed my mind along the way.  
MEANWHILE...
I get back from the ride and my wife has totally perked up.  The medicine is already working well 😂👍 Happy ending to a strange day!
