Fun!! Great test on early fitness, a nice confidence booster. If you take a look at the elevation you’ll see a fast downhill course. I worked hard in the early miles to stay close to the third place guy. He took on the second place guy and the new third place was still too far out of range. The wheels felt like they started falling off at 11 miles, but I held on to finish strong. It was a really beautiful and fun race. I’m equating it to a low 1:29 effort, given the downhill really helped me out. I’ll take a shiny new PR and look forward to challenging it on a flatter course!
