Glendhu Bay -> Wanaka w Flick and Georgie

4.5 days bikepacking trip. Starting in Pforzheim, heading south through French Vosges to Basel and back north through Black Forest in Germany.  Most of the days were very warm (35*C on Day 4 in Basel). Loosely following Traversee du Massif des Vosges mountain bike route.

D1 arvo ~125km - flats in Germany and hard riding in rural France.
D2 ~145km - hard gravel and trail riding, overgrown in many places, very slow going.
D3 ~160km - riding with Maarten down to Grand Ballon area. Good roads, good day.
D4 ~160km - crossing flats around Basel and heading up to Black Forest. Marteen is heading south. 
D5 ~260km - amazing well maintained gravel roads through Black Forest, south part very hilly. Last 100ish km on the road to get back to the car quickly. 
Good trip but Vosges and Jura is something I don’t have to do again. There must be much better riding/bikepacking in Alps or almost anywhere.
