There were times this 3 weeks I doubted that I might see it, but more so 28 years ago something like this was laughed it, a pipe dream.

this is Haemophilia now, or this is where it should be, but it isn’t. 
•
I’m able to be here because I’m lucky; lucky with the @nhs healthcare I’ve had my entire life, lucky that in this era pharma companies have produced medication to enable this life, an extraordinary life but more importantly the ability to lead a normal life, lucky that sufficient treatment is provided to haemophiliacs as freely as the air we breathe, lucky my parents heeded Dr Colvin, Dr Pasi and Dr Hart along with countless nurses’s and physio’s advice and then forging our own path with the condition. Lucky that my schools, teachers, racing teams and so forth respected and wanted to know everything they needed to know about my condition but didn’t treat me any differently to the others. Lucky.

But this happy ending story isn’t the case further afield and it isn’t fair, the treatment isn’t cheap. Haemophilia is a geographical condition where the disparity of care between countries is huge and this is our long term goal @littlebleeders. Educating governments and whoever we can to provide care to what is a hugely debilitating and life shortening condition left untreated. Trying to make the world’s haemophilia community as lucky as I have been.
