breakdown:
0-6km: neutralized @ a pace that felt like 50km/h. wtf! cobbles? pleeease bottles, hold on down there.
6-35km: riding in the bunch. some pushes in the downhill. most of them were neutralized...not by riders, more by the leading car.
35km: what? a sprint? where? i see a sign that says „sprint“ a few hundred meters after the railways. i push a bit and roll over the line first, thinking that might be it. later that day, i‘d find out it was a timed section and not just a line sprint. however, i have a little gap and keep going. solo.
~40km: björn catches me. nice, we share some work. we take a wrong turn. loosing 15 seconds 🙄 no big deal, right?!
56km: buchen climb starts. i come out solo at the top. i keep going.
68km: Hi „Didi the devil“!
75km: daniel debertin (corratec) catches me.
84km: marcel wyss and frederic glorieux (corratec) join the party
87km: i‘m toast. crossing the last KOM about 100m behind the three leaders. i can catch up again in the downhill. the five of us (4 riders and a car) are battling for the fastest time on the downhill.
2km to go: some more wrong turns. sightseeing in interlaken. thanks guys for not attacking in this situation.
600m to go: tourists (probably looking for sherlock holmes) mix up our bunch when they cross the street looking the other way (or maybe not at all, i didn’t bother asking at that point in time)
500m to go: sprint time! lead out by marcel. man i‘m tired! ends up being like a 400m drag race head to head to the line😂.
Boom! win!
i almost crash into the car that decided to stop about 80m after the line.

some positiv discussions with race organizers. no bad feelings. great day on the bike in a beautiful area!
