"How do you feel now?" Kind Sakurako checks frequently on Roadkill, who is recovering from a vertigo attack earlier this week. No falls today: he's ~80% back to normal. We set off in the darkness and practice a 1 minute run, 1 minute walk pace control regime. The one-lane wooden Grace Church bridge is closed for construction; the Acorn Park downtown provides a quick history lesson in the origins of "Silver Spring" (mica flecks in a water source). Murals decorate the Georgia Avenue underpass at the train tracks. Sligo Creek takes us upstream past the Capital Beltway.

"Have you seen three old men on the trail?" Sakurako and Roadkill rendezvous with Ken, Emaad, and Danger Man after a near-miss, and continue northward. At University the trio proceed while S&R divert in search of sustenance. Starbucks' line is too long so bananas and a Slurpee from 7-11 suffice. We meander in Kemp Mill but fail to find the cut-through path and return home via the Breewood Neighborhood Park trail.
