The classic ACME audax season opener. Perfect weather, a really nice group of riders and an especially lovely control in the back garden of a volunteer’s house in Manningtree. And excellent cakes and pizza at Arrivee. And a nice chat with Nick W on the way back to Cambridge. Very early start for the outward ECE leg, obviously. Overall very pleased with the ride, though I was running on fumes for the last hour before Dunmow.
