Last big one. Overall I'm pleased. Got lucky with the weather in that it wasn't raining and the wind was not as bad as it could've been, but it was still humid and in the 60s with a little breeze. 

Got out a little hot, maybe too hot, but as I would discover on the way back from the stadium there was a tailwind those first few miles. All in all the splits were all over the place, probably due to the overcast skies making the GPS not great and the wind. So I just tried to roll with it and focus on keeping the average pace in the range, which I think was a good plan. Felt kind of fast overall, but still like I was somewhat in control of the pace. Had to work for sure, but wasn't totally dead at the end or anything. And I think 12 at goal pace when you're still pretty in the thick of things is not supposed to be easy. 

Nice to nail one last workout though. I'm still nervous about running this pace for 26.2, but if the weather's good, I'm in the back of a pack for a nice chunk of the race, and wearing even bouncier shoes, I think there's a realistic chance it could happen. It's been a good training block for all of Team Wietecha, and I'm looking forward to two weeks from now. Time to start taking the taper more seriously.
