foolish silly 😜 story of today: left knee started to feel twinges at mile ~10 ... i walked and slow-jogged a few miles and it didn't get any better ... was averaging ~15 min/mi to that point 🐌  ... so i resolved to drop at mile 15 aid station ... got there, was next-to-last runner 🐢 ... Gretchen Bolton (John's wife, in her 70s) was Sweeper for the next trail segment & invited me to walk it with her, but i said no & started to walk back to the Start where my car was (only ~6 miles via roads) ... but within 10 steps the left knee suddenly "popped" (!) and i couldn't walk without pain - ouch! 😣 ... so i got a ride back to start 🚙 (TY, Dan DiFonzo!)... hope knee recovers by next Saturday (Richmond Marathon!) 🍀🍀🍀
