Yes! We did it! A great race running with Alex C and Andrew (for the first 6 miles, he was running very well until his ankle injury returned). Alex was an absolute superstar and dragged me along, mile after mile from 20 on, when a combination of dodgy tummy and tired legs meant I couldn't quite hold our previous pace. Never felt like we weren't going to make sub 3 though, despite being on the edge of cramp (and nearly having to make an emergency toilet stop) for the final quarter of the race. Very, very very happy with that and very grateful to Alex. Also really chuffed that so many other running friends had fantastic races today, and gutted for Andrew, who I know will be back very soon. What a day!
