Report from todays race:











I woke up with sore throat, stuffed nose and coughing. Not the perfect timing when you have a hard race ahead of you, but I started and wanted to try my best.















During the first 60km I felt actually quite good and I had no problems even though many riders didn't manage to keep up with the peleton in the hard course.















After 60 km my right gear shifter fell of the handelbar so I had to stop to tighten it. I got help by the service people to fix it, but I had to stand still for 3-4 minutes - though it felt like 10. After this I had give all I had to try to catch the peleton again. I did mange to catch the main field after about 90 km agin.















After this I was quite exhausted. I got very big cramp problems in every muscles I have in my legs, and had big problems to just pedal. I got dropped because of this and I was taken out of the race at 120 km. I got taken out because of the 5 min rule.















After all I am satisfied with the race today. I'm not happy about the result, but before I got cramps I felt quite good. When I had to ride tempo to catch the peleton again, I felt really strong. I didn't got dropped today because of the pace was too fast, but because I didnt manage to push hard cause cramps (I usually have problems with cramps in the first coupe of races in the season). I also managed to think much better mentally than yesterday, so it was a step in the right direction. I will work much on this in close future because I have more to gain here than I think I can imagine.















If I dont get really sick and worse in my throat of todays effort I know my shape will be even better at the norwegian cup next week and other future races.
