I just popped out to the bicycle shop on my commuting machine. The shop cat said that new tires were TPP (two for the price of a pair) and stop being such a skinflint. I enjoyed my mini-ride so much that I went for a spin around the neighborhood bridges and spillway that cross Gould Wash as it passes through the south of the town—BOGO (buy one get one), two rides for the price of one. It was cold and damp, but invigorating. The wash is usually dry, but after heavy overnight rain it was running in a minor flood. Somebody in possession of admirable aforethought had cleaned all the debris from the course of the wash recently so there was no backing up, or at least not yet. There is more rain to come, so maybe there will be a significant rise in the floodwater level. It never rains but it pours.
