Rode with Kim (so, no social distancing required during the ride), St Lucys to Downtown, with stops at American Coney Island (carryout with my mask I brought in my jersey pocket) and Rivard Plaza (bathrooms where Kim took some toilet paper -- to stuff her jacket arms for warmth near the water).   Slight to moderate rain most of the route, but we just took our time and enjoyed the ride.    Could barely see freighters in the Lake due to the mist, but was refreshing air on the shoreline at the end.   Downtown on a Friday and almost totally empty, especially the casino and surrounding areas.   Nice for cycling but quite eerie.  50K was a perfect starter ride to hopefully a great but shorter season (still pushing for a Detroit Rando SR Hell Week in August).  Really liked the MyEdge2 Garmin app with the analog speedometer; I can see how it would keep you motivated as long as you set the mid-point speed to your usual average (vs the 50mph max default).   Also found a tool on the road as is the tradition for Detroit Randonneurs, but I left that one hoping "Travis" would find it again.
