Arms are getting sore from pointing out all these potholes

Back in 2008, Vampire Weekend was definitely like, “dudes, the harpsichord is SO back.”

The Survivalist
- This cyclist is on the brink of bonking and politely asks for a draft because, in their mind, a break from the wind is the angelic respite that they need to make it home. This is A-okay, and I am always happy to help. Hop aboard to caboose, soldier!

The Opportunist
- This cyclist most often comes in the form of a friend whom you've either stumbled across on a ride, or with whom you have already been riding for the day. They will make eye contact with you as you pass them, smile, announce the invisible line that is the sprint point, and proceed to duke it out accordingly. In this instance, they have turned the wheelsucking into a game that both parties are aware of, adding levity to the situation, thus making the wheelsucking appropriate, and even fun! 

Then there are the Egotists:
- This person will be going much slower than you, but upon seeing you pass them, will sprint like their life depends on it, latch onto your draft, and then proceed to EMPTY. THE. TANK. on the next roller, showing you they are indeed strong, and weren't always going that slow when you caught them; they were just taking a break from their monster workout and that the moment you passed them just happened to coincide with their next interval. No words will be exchanged in this entire interaction.
