The most bizarre experience of my cycling life - I had just begun a climb off of a blind corner and then I was sprawled out on the pavement faster than I could blink. There is no apparent mechanical reason. There was no substantial unevenness of the road surface. It felt like my front wheel slipped on a banana peel. It was either that or a supernatural force. All the forensics I can analyze produce no possible cause. My last data point was 432W and 12mph, I have bad road rash despite the low speed. My bike was inoperable and I was unable to continue. It's time to heal and unfortunately remain perplexed unless anyone saw a potential cause..? I hadn't crashed in my last 20 years of riding - Guess I had it coming.
