30 min Dalmatian Coast Ride

This was a fun one. First race attempt since January 2019, First “virtual race”, first race at age 30, first race since moving. A lot of first attempts  today. 

Felt pretty good, just a little sore from Tuesday. Felt like my body was shocked trying to run all out for the first time in such a long time . Like, “Dude what are you doing?? This hurts!” I was already starting to feel sore halfway into the race. 

Tried to hold a decent pace for the first half uphill and then push in the second half. The downhill, nice open road and straightaway last half was nice after sharp turns and inclines to start. 

Made a new friend, Josh. It was nice to run and suffer with someone else for once.

Cooled down with Hannah and tried Two-Roosters ice cream for another first ever. Raleigh ain’t too shabby.
