I tried to do the 150 Kms Gran Fondo Challenge but had too many problems. Garmin failed 5 mins into d ride, Di2 battery was running out and front derailleur stopped shifting 61 Kms into d ride, had 2 continue ride on d small front chainring, rear puncture after 103 Kms and had lots of problems trying to inflate the spare tube. It turned out that the spare new tube had 4 punctures in it probably caused from being packed with the bike tools in the saddle bag. So had to repair d other tube with an adhesive patch. Took me over 2 hours. Then got back on d road & mobile battery died at 109 Kms so after that effort I couldn't complete the challenge and upload it to Strava. Then I suffered a second puncture at 111 kms and had to stop there. Called for a car to pick me up from d airport. Was not meant to be!!! Ride paused.







Achieved KOM at Triq Notablie Climb by 14 secs.



2nd on the Apple's Eye Cafe Dash by 1 sec.



1 5th, 1 6th, 2 10th overall and 2 3rd of this year.



26 PRs.







Continued ride the next day and done 61 kms for a total of 170 kms but will not count towards the Strava Grand Fondo 150 kms ride Challenge as was over 24 hours elapsed time. Will try again!!!
